Terms & Conditions
- To confirm a booking and secure your dates, a non-refundable deposit of $1000 per person is required, payable via bank transfer. Banking details will be provided upon request.
- The balance of all fees is payable in full before departure from camp at the conclusion of the safari.
- Accepted payment methods:
- Credit/Debit Card: VISA or Mastercard only (3% card fee applies). American Express is not accepted.
- The client must ensure their card limits are sufficient for the expected payments.Limits may differ in South Africa compared to the country of issue, arrangements must be made with the client’s bank in advance.
- Only wireless “tap” cards or chip-enabled cards with a PIN code are accepted.
- Cash: USD or ZAR (cash deposits incur a 3% bank fee).
- Bank Transfer: Subject to standard banking fees and transfer times.
- Cancellations made more than 90 days before the safari may have the deposit carried over for up to 12 months (prices may be adjusted if required).
- If the client cancels within 90 days of the safari or fails to rebook within the 12-month carry-over period, the deposit will be forfeited.
- No cash refunds are provided. Special arrangements may be considered in exceptional circumstances (e.g. travel restrictions).
- The client is responsible for ensuring compliance with all entry requirements for South Africa and all travel arrangements to and from South Africa. Jahensu Safaris will, however, provide reasonable assistance in this regard.
- The client is encouraged to bring their own firearms. Alternatively, Jahensu Safaris offers rifle rental in selected calibers.
- If the client fails to secure all animals in their package without wounding them, the package price will be reduced by the applicable trophy fee. Full fees apply to wounded animals.
- Before commencement of the safaris, clients are required to complete and sign a safari contract & a general information sheet. All clients & observers are required to read & sign our indemnity form before the commencement of the safari.
- By participating in a safari, the client grants Jahensu Safaris permission to photograph and film activities for promotional purposes (including social media). If the client does not wish to appear in such material, written notice must be provided prior to the safari.
- Any travelling day between states/hunting areas will be considered a hunting day.
- Transportation by vehicle between states/hunting areas or photographic tours transfers are charged at $400 each way (Most hunts are conducted on Jahensu’s properties, this fee is only applicable for travel to hunt limited species not available at Jahensu’s properties).
- Prices are subject to change with prior notice.
- All rates are quoted in US $ (Dollars).
- The client’s arrival and departure day will be considered a non-hunting day at $250 per client.
- The client acknowledges that hunting and related activities carry inherent risks. By paying the deposit and participating in a safari, the client:
- Accepts full responsibility for all risks associated with the safari, including but not limited to hunting activities, firearm handling, transportation, excursions, and accommodation-related incidents.
- Agrees to release and indemnify Jahensu Safaris, its owners, employees, and agents from any liability for injury, death, loss, or damage suffered during the safari, regardless of cause, including negligence, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- Agrees that Jahensu Safaris shall not be liable for any delays, cancellations, or changes to the safari caused by government action, weather conditions, or any circumstances beyond our control.
